Enemies

None
Ability:
Axe Knight
One of the four typical Meta-Knights, these soldiers have an axe to grind with Kirby! What’s behind that skull face anyway? Don’t get creeped out by their beady eyes, and wipe the floor with them!

Ninja
Ability:
Bio Spark
A ninja with a heart of … well, maybe not gold, but you can befriend him if you so desired. Watch out for their spooky disappearing acts, and be aware when one is nearby! You’ll never know when he’ll strike from the shadows.

Wing
Ability:
Birdon
This avian has an affinity for aviation! It takes flight to give Kirby a hard time, throwing feathers and dive-bombing the poor pink puffball.

Sword
Ability:
Blade Knight
A heavily-armored sword wielder! Those shoulder pads may look bulky, but you can never be too careful around Kirby. What’s hiding behind the helmet, I wonder? All we get to see sometimes is one mysterious eye …

None
Ability:
Blipper
No matter how much time passes, it doesn’t seem like poor Blipper will ever evolve to not need goggles to see underwater. At least Kirby won’t ever tire of the taste of seafood!

Crash
Ability:
Bomber
Watch out! These explosive enemies are no joke. Swallow one for the elusive Crash ability, otherwise steer clear of their blast radius! If they’re teetering off an edge take caution!

None
Ability:
Bounder
What’s this guy throwing stars at you? He won’t get down from those walls, either. What’s his problem, anyway? Kirby ought to teach him a lesson.

None
Ability:
Bronto Burt
Ever the grump, Bronto Burt is one of Kirby’s most tried-and-true foes. These winged fellows will do as they please, which usually is flying right into Kirby. A game where Kirby doesn’t get to see his familiar sourpuss face, well, is that truly a Kirby game at all?

None
Ability:
Broom Hatter
Too much to clean, too much to sweep! How will Broom Hatter ever get done cleaning up Dream Land? I don’t think they’re really thinking of the future, though. They’re focusing too much on sweeping everywhere they can that they’re not even seeing who might be in the way!

Fire
Ability:
Burnin' Leo
Hey, uh, I’m not sure this guy knows or not. Somebody might want to let him know that his hair is on fire. What’s that? It’s supposed to be like that? Huh. Well, so long as he’s okay with it. It must be a new sort of “in” fashion.

None
Ability:
Cappy
These guys love their mushroom cap! It’s such a shame that you need to eat it first if you’re inhaling a Cappy, cause then you have to see them flail around in despair once the cap is gone. Maybe you should just use an ability instead if a Cappy is in your way.

Jet
Ability:
Capsule J
This guy resembles a robotic Waddle Doo with a jetpack! He’ll blast around the screen, taking flight just like, well, a jet! All the bells and whistles on this fellow make him really pop.

None
Ability:
Caterpillar
These fuzzy caterpillars can only be found in the fight against the Twin Woods! The trees’ spinning attack will drop these bugs from their branches. You can’t inhale them, so avoid or attack them instead!

Ice
Ability:
Chilly
A lovable snowman fellow who only wants his fellow friends to appreciate the chill that keeps him alive. Unfortunately for Chilly, he’s blissfully unaware that most living beings need heat to survive. His hugs can get a bit … fatally frosty.

None
Ability:
Coconut
The traditionally explosive tropical fruit found in Dream Land, and indeed, on other planets in the galaxy to boot! Kirby’s universe sure has some weird vegetation.

None
Ability:
Gator
A small little alligator head may LOOK adorable, but don’t underestimate the little guy. If he gets on you, he’s going to chow down on your head like his life depended on it! Chomp chomp chomp!

Yo-yo
Ability:
Gim
Sporting a backwards cap, a single eye, one long arm, some nifty shoes, and some impressive yo-yoing skills, it can only mean you’ve encountered a Gim! What a rad robot!

None
Ability:
Glunk
These green anemone creatures hang out under or near water and are attached to a flat surface. They’ll shoot projectiles at you, so time yourself swimming past them or snipe them from the side!

None
Ability:
Gordo
Spiked enemies that just don’t seem to know when they’re not wanted. Gordos are invincible creatures that only serve to get in your way, so don’t get in theirs!

None
Ability:
Grizzo
Ooh, look! A big fluffy bear is coming your way! Maybe he wants a hug? No, unfortunately. If a Grizzo catches you in his sights, he’s going to charge you down. Their bulk gives them more health than usual enemies, so make sure you can take them down safely!

None
Ability:
Javelin Knight
The most robotic of the typical Meta-Knight warriors. A little spinning sentry-like foe, he’ll shoot javelins out of a hole on his lower body. Others just spin wildly! Don’t let your guard down.

Bomb
Ability:
Jungle Bomb
This guy gives a whole new meaning to a pineapple grenade! These guys will launch explosive bombs at you from … somewhere. He’s going to quickly try to run and escape from you afterwards, so take him out quickly or else you’ll have to get your revenge another day.

None
Ability:
Kabu
This mystifying tiki head will warp around, spinning along the ground or floating through the air. What allows him to do such feats of intrigue and magic? I’ll let you know as soon as I find out.

Fighter
Ability:
Knuckle Joe
He’s got all the versatility of the Fighter ability, but none of Kirby’s friendly demeanor! This boxing warrior isn’t afraid to not pull his punches, literally! But maybe you can make a Knuckle Joe Helper of your own to even the playing field?

Laser
Ability:
Laser Ball
A rarer enemy who can grant you the Beam ability, because Kirby decided Lasers weren’t very cool anymore between Kirby’s Adventure and Kirby Super Star. Let’s hope that Laser Ball didn’t take it personally.

None
Ability:
Lovely
Aw, what a lovely flower! Don’t get fooled by its beautiful appearance, though, they’re nasty on the inside! They’ll dance around to lure Kirby closer, and then launch their head to attack! Ouch!

None
Ability:
Mace Knight
These members of the Meta-Knight crew must be really strong! Look at that spiked mace he’s carrying! It’s as big as Mace Knight himself! I wonder what gym he trains at.

None
Ability:
Magical Sweeper
A rather … odd enemy, to say the least. What’s it doing here? Why does it change colors? How does it float around? Why does it attack Kirby with lots of projectiles? Will we ever know the answers to these questions? Probably not.

None
Ability:
Moto-Shotzo
The infamous Shotzo has undergone an upgrade! It can move around now! Before you get worried though, don’t worry, it’s a double-edged upgrade. They can move, but they’re no longer invincible! Go ahead and swallow this Trax wanna-be!

Sleep
Ability:
Noddy
An adorable fellow like this fits right in with the rest of Dream Land’s residents. They’re often very tired and will just take naps everywhere. Swallow one to join in on the sleepy fun, if you want to take a brief break from the action!

Stone
Ability:
Rocky
Rocky is slow and heavy, and he knows this. That's why he trained himself to jump really high! Watch out, though--you don't want to be underneath when he comes crashing down!

Paint
Ability:
Paint Slime
One of the many things that Heavy Lobster can launch out of its claws. It’s a featureless orange blob that will hop around. One almost wonders why it’s even one of the big Lobster’s weapons to begin with. Other than giving Kirby easy access to the rare Paint ability, it doesn’t seem to be all that useful.

Parasol
Ability:
Parasol
Found atop Waddle Dees, Waddle Doos, and other creatures, the Parasol is a useful tool and occasional sapient being! They can make for a good opportunity for a mix, if you eat one right after it detaches from a Waddle Doo!

None
Ability:
Pata
A blue thin enemy found inside of the great clockwork star, Nova. They’ll rush Kirby from in front and then try to attack from behind! With such small, coordinated robots inside a mechanical being, perhaps you could consider Patas to be like antibodies attempting to wipe out a virus?

Plasma
Ability:
Plasma Wisp
A floating ball of condensed plasma, with some floating gloves for hands! I wonder how these guys can see out of their eyes, or how their body works in general. I guess some mysteries of the Kirby universe won’t ever be solved!

None
Bomb
Cutter
Ability:
Poppy Bros. Jr.
Such a happy boy, walking around with glee obvious on his face. He’s ever so eager to chuck bombs at you, though, so don’t judge a book by its cover! He’s out to get Kirby!

Stone
Ability:
Rocky
One of the tougher enemies that Kirby must face. Attacking him with regular hits will take a while, so it’s much faster to just swallow him and be done with him, especially in any autoscrolling segments! Either that, or just leave him be. He’s a stone, he can’t move very fast unless the direction is downwards.

Crash
Ability:
Scarfy
A big floating ball of cuteness with ears! How could one resist eating it? Well, you’ll have to, because the moment you try, it morphs into a monstrous cyclops! It won’t resist biting you in retaliation, that’s for sure. Here’s a fun fact, if you’ve got the Copy ability, use it on a Scarfy! You can gain the rare Crash ability this way!

None
Ability:
Shotzo
This reinforced cannon returns from other Kirby games, to nobody’s surprise. You can’t damage them, so just make sure that you’re moving too fast for them to shoot you down! Nobody wants to see Kirby shot down.

Mirror
Ability:
Simirror
This guy is a professional magician who’s a whiz at using mirrors to deflect projectiles! He’s a masterful illusionist, too! Sometimes if you think he’s defeated, he’ll poof back into existence and reveal it was all just a trick! He’s got the mirrors part down pat, but I wonder where the smoke part of his act is.

Cutter
Ability:
Sir Kibble
A trusty knight with a boomerang cutter for his weapon. He’ll grab it from atop his head and fling it at Kirby, but make sure it doesn’t come right back and hit you from behind!

None
Ability:
Slippy
He’s just a frog. All he wants is to hop around, but that can get a bit hectic, especially when in close quarters! What a slippery fellow. Oh! No wonder why he’s called Slippy!

None
Ability:
Squishy
The most friendly squid you’ll ever see, probably! It’s a shame he gives you no ability, cause it’d be pretty cool to have a cute Squishy Helper on your journey, I bet.

Copy
Ability:
T.A.C.
This sneaky cat burglar is the literal real deal! He’ll swipe your Copy Ability or even your Helper, and then run away with it! Defeat him to get what was stolen back. I wonder what his name stands for… Tomatoes Are Cute? That Amazing Critter? Truly Amazing Capabilities? Nah, probably not.

None
Ability:
Tookey
Mmm, chicken. This bird is one of a few feathered foes Kirby will need to take down. Give Kirby a nice meal when you encounter one, eh? He deserves it.

None
Ability:
Trident Knight
Unfortunately, this Meta-Knight warrior has nothing to do with the gum. He’s the most sneaky of the four knights, often having great aim with his trident weaponry. Don’t overlook him when he’s around, for he can be a real menace at times!

None
Ability:
Twizzy
A smaller, yellow bird that may or may not be a chick. I wonder if they have any relation to Tookey? They tend to be found together, after all. Hmm…

None
Ability:
Volm
A wheeled robotic guardian that clings to the walls and ceilings of the Galactic Nova. It will fire bullets at you, so dodge and attack back! I wonder if that red light dome on its body emits any sort of warning sirens.

None
Ability:
Waddle Dee
Everybody’s favorite friend! He’s a good boy who tries his best. Even though he’s the most basic enemy in the series, I’m sure he appreciates all the attention he gets as Kirby’s most iconic regular foe.

Beam
Ability:
Waddle Doo
Waddle Dee, but a bit meaner! His electric beam whip is no joke. It must come from pent-up frustration at never being able to close his big ol’ eye. Without eyelids, it must really hurt to be near sand or onions and stuff.

Mike
Ability:
Walky
A walking, talking microphone! Or, should I say, a singing one! They’ll strut around all confident-like, then blare some notes out at you. His singing hurts, but don’t worry. Kirby’s singing is even more painful, and you can use that to your advantage!

Wheel
Ability:
Wheelie
This guy must get wheelie tired, riding around all day. I wonder how these wheels’ vision must look, with an eye on each side of their body? Seeing what’s coming up in front of them must be tough. No wonder why they crash into Kirby so often!
