Today's Nintendo Direct was a huge whammie! Two Kirby titles were showed off, bringing tons of new information along with them.
The 3DS Kirby title we've all wondered about for months in now called Kirby: Battle Royale! This fighting game will feature lots of different modes, including a last-man-standing Battle Arena, the gather-treasure Ore Express, and a single-player story mode. This also marks the first time a Kirby game has online connectivity!
Kirby: Battle Royale is launching in the UK on November 3, 2017, in Japan on November 30, 2017, but has been pushed back a little bit in North America, skipping the holidays and releasing January 19, 2018.
In addition, Nintendo is hosting a favorite Copy Ability poll to celebrate Kirby's 25th anniversary! The winning ability will be featured in a wallpaper and 3DS theme, as well as the possibility of being put in Kirby: Battle Royale! Click the image below to head to the poll, along with more details!
Finally, the Direct revealed more details and footage for Kirby for Nintendo Switch, now called Kirby: Star Allies! The fan-favorite Yo-yo Copy Ability makes a return, new combination abilities like Wind Bomb, and GIM and Broom Hatter joining the cast of Helpers! King Dedede was also shown, and he is RIPPED.
Kirby: Star Allies will launch for the Nintendo Switch in spring 2018.
