Kirby and the Forgotten Land Has Been Nominated for a Game Award

Kirby fans, it's time for you to step up and help the pink puff take home a well-deserved award.

Today, the nominees for The Game Awards 2022 were announced across the award show's social media channels and official website. Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been nominated for "Best Family Game" alongside LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Splatoon 3.

While plenty of Nintendo games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have won a Game Award in the past, the Kirby series has never been nominated at the showing before. Earlier this year, Kirby did become Nintendo's first character to ever scoop up a Grammy thanks to the 8-Bit Big Band's orchestration of Meta Knight's Revenge.
