The latest Kirby Air Riders "Race to the Finish!" event has been canceled due to in-game bugs. While none of the official Kirby Air Riders social media accounts have reported on the issue, Nintendo of Japan's support page has publicly addressed what is going on with the game's first holiday-themed event.
According to Nintendo's official support account, the latest Kirby Air Riders event was canceled due to an in-game bug tied to race-specific rules in City Trial. Players who participated in "Race to the Finish!" seemed to be encountering issues where rules for the online event were being carried over into the standard City Trial mode. However, the glitch could be resolved by simply restarting the game.

For those unaware, the Kirby Air Riders "Race to the Finish!" event allowed players to obtain a Santa Hat accessory for their Riders. This is the first time a hat accessory can be obtained outside of the Checklist and Miles Shop. Currently, the Main Menu and Paddock are also decorated with a winter holiday theme. Check out some of the festivities below!

According to Nintendo, the event will be rescheduled soon, and players will still be able to obtain the event's exclusive rewards. When Nintendo reschedules the "Race to the Finish" event, we will be sure to let you all know.
